Im going ahead and doing an a/c delete while the engine is outa the car to free up some room, get rid of some wheight, and that whole jist. I wanted to do a full delete which means the evaporator under the dash has to go too. Now if I take that out is there ducting under the dash that I need to plug/reroute to keep heat and fan air? I was thinking I might have to get some parts from a none a/c car, but if I dont have to that'd be better.

My advise on the evaperator core is to leave it in there . . . you have to remove the entire dash to remove it, it`s a pretty big operation. The evap core itself only weighs a couple pounds at most, so you`re not saving much in the area of weight reduction. Also, keeping it in there will do 2 things: 1 - all your heating & defroster functions will still work properly as far as mode control, floor, vent defrost, etc.(except for the dehumidifying aspect). 2 - someday you might want to have the a/c again,& that will simplify re-installation in the future . . . :talon:

I don't know about the duct as I removed all of mine when I took out the heater core. The dash isn't hard to get out at all actually, maybe if you haven't done much work on cars. I would say each box in the assembly weighs around 8-10 lbs each.

Im not too worried about the dash removal. Im doing a tan to black/grey swap so it has to come out anyway. Theres a few 1G's at the scrap yard, one of them is bound to be with out a/c. Then again there is like you said, I might want a/c in the future. If I do decide to keep it in there, I'll just make a plate to cover the inlet in the engine bay I guess.
