Saskatoon,
well i was just wondering if it is okay to move the cruise control, to the firewall, or will this affect the cruise control? also im curious what has to be done to remove the cruise control? please answer both question if possible, thanks

its on a 90 laser rs turbo

the best way to find out is to try it if it doesnt work put it back. if it works post a picture. I was just thinking of that the other day Im going to try it in a couple of weeks when I relocate my batt.

Removing the cruise control consists of removing the old lines and installing the lines from a non-cruise car. Not too difficult.

Sorry, can't answer your other question. I would guess if you made new mount points you could make it work.

I'm in the same boat as you. The way I was thinking about doing it was to get a 91-94 cruise box w/ cables, bracket, etc. and replace my unit with that. I'll have to take a trip to the junkyard to see the specifics on how it's ran, mounted etc. I'll let you know what I find.

I believe there's a bit more to the CC than just the little green box. On my 91, there was something underneath my CC box that played a role. If you don't use it that often, remove it for a non-cc cable. If you do, it's probably best to leave it where it is.
