Looking for a 95 Talon Rear Diff

So ive been looking all over, I was told i cant put a 97 lsd in a my 95. So now im back to stage 1 and i gotta look for a used differntial or cheep diff guts so i can rebuild it... Anyone know of or can help me out... I HATE Turbo FWD

try craigslist and you may find one.. you may get lucky and find a 4 bolt rear end, if you dont already have one (nice mod to have Im pretty sure you have to swap the transfer case with the rear end as well, as the gears are different, but dont quote me on that.. Just something you want to check before you do it, cause it burn up your center differential faster than you can say "SHI+!! MY DIFFERENTIAL!!!" haha

I have found mad dsm parts on craigslist.com, so try that.. your only other bet is to try a mitsu wrecking yard.. there are some great ones in california, but you are in canada, so it might be hard to come here and get them..

2G rears are interchangeable as long as you have a manual differential going in to a manual car, or vice versa an auto into an auto. To check if your car came with LSD from the factory their should be a bright orange sticker when you open the driver's side door.

It's the transmissions and transfer cases that have different ratios. A 95-96 transmission will only work with a 95-96 transfer case and a 97-99 transmission will only work with a 97-99 transfer case or else you will blow your center differential and possible lock your rear wheels.

All 2g rear ends are interchangable minus crossing transaxle types (auto/manual), ie a M/T rear end is used with a M/T, and a/t rear is used with an a/t.

Humm allright then guys thatsolves one problem. Why would my sceond diff deside to crap out on me then... Would it be caused because of the bushings on the frame being fcuked? I put a lsd in and she prety much over heated on me leaving me in a cloud of smoke.... Im just tryin to fix my car im done with fWD TURBO.... SO stupid

According to JacksTransmissions, ALL AWD M/T LSD Rear diffs are the same.
