i know there are a 100 posts on how to tune and set your safc but i have a real bad case of adhd and i am more of a hands on person and need some serious help right now.

i kind of understand the basics about setting the adjustments but im still getting 15 on my wideband.
my mods are 255 walboro, 780cc injectors, aeromotive fuel rail and fpr, wideband o2, and 3" apexi exhaust and dp, and a big 16g.
i have my low thottle settings starting at 29 going up to 36. my throttle set at 30 and 80 and im not positive on my hi but i think its ending at 43 ill have to check. ive been tweaking it up and down but like i said i suck at reafing manuals and instructions to understand what im doing wrong.
any help would be greatly apreciated.
oh and when im at WOT, its reading 13.3ish.
thanks

ok, so keep in mind that im at work typuing all this on my phone. but i hecked that link out, learned a lot but still lost cause thats something diffrent from what i read. but im guessing that my correction, -30ish is too low? i thought that if your car is running rich then u wanted to male the neg number higher? am i wrong?

A safc can only compensate for injectors up to 650's. If you do manage to put a tune on it, your timing advance will be off the map. You either need to get 650's or upgrade your tuning device.

Also 13 at WOT??? Most people shoot for 11:1 ratio.

It is difficult to tune those 780s via afc. You do have a data logger right? Make sure that the fto2 hovers around 0 and do a wot pull and you want a number around .90 for the o2-voltage. That still might be a little rich so tweak it. Your biggest problem is going to be the low throttle tuning.

well i have, 780's so, im having a lot of problems right now. I guess ill have to wait for them to tune the aem ems. Ive gone up and down the scale with numbers for high and lo and cant get it right

You'll need a chip to compensating timing to go over 650. Check-out Keydriver. You can do get a stage 3 for $140 to run your fuel injectors or an stage 3 EPROM for stutterbox, rev limit, etc.... That'll do for now. My cars runs on that EPROM with 950cc injectors.

yeah you should wait. youll never get that car tuned with the afc with those injectors way to big for the afc you would need a maft or somthing else to also tune with you would tell the maft that you have those injectors and fine tune the afc but yeah wait for the aem ems to be tuned

780's can be tuned with only a Safc. I wouldn't recommend it but I did it and I wasn't pulling a lot of timing. It took a while and I did use a logger. I am now running a Safc along with a keydriver chip. I just wanted to say it can be done but, it's not worth the time and headaches that come along in doing it. I would wait and get the Aem tuned.

yeah, theres a couple of places around here that will tune it. two problems with that though, ones 30 min away and the other two are two + hours away. ranging from 600 to 1400 to tune it. im just worried that i wont be able to get my a/f ratio to somewhat close to where it needs to be, so ill have to pick the closer place which i dont know mch about andhow good they are.

i just off the phone with turbo trix in edison nj, anybody dealt with them yet? they said 650, half a day for tuning and id need a pressure sensor and a new air filter without the maf? does that sound right, im really in thje dark on this, trying to lear by the min. im thinking about towing it down in my suburban next week

sounds high.
up here in columbus we have slowmotion racing and they told me on an safc II it would be 2 1/2 hours on the dyno to tune and that would come to $265.
or if i had dsm linkit would be much longer but would still only be $450.
so the numbers just sound a little high.
but each shop is differant just giving you my experiance.
good luck with the tune:thumb:

600 is average around here apperntly, kinda sux but thats what u get for living in this area. the place seems really legit though, they're website says they deal specifically with dsm's. so im just gonna garage the car until i can drive down there. im hoping to push about 405whp. just worried about the clutch, its stock.
