There is a few company's that make some nice bullet proof pistons. I am not sure what your plans are for the future, but i like JE pistons, and i would get 8.5:1 you know low compression pistons, that way you have a nice set up for more boost in the future if you plan on upgrading.

If you are keeping the stock rods I would just put OEM or Toplines back in it, the stock 2G pistons are pretty decent for the money.

i am not sure but check our vendors they all carry them, but i know JE are a little expensive, if you do some searching you can find a lot of info about different kinds and see which one fits your budget.

Thanks..i forgot to mention that it would be a good idea to get new rods too, and better of a new crank while you at it, but thats for you to decide how much power you want and money you are willing to invest.

If you are going to buy a forged piston and rod kit(starts at $720) then you might as well pull the whole motor out and have the entire thing built(complete forged bottom end about $1500) or just put some some OEM 2G pistons back in it and call it a day.

Why would he need a new/better crank? The stock crank will hold a ton of HP/Trq.
