which crank is better the 6bolt or the 7bolt? and why

Do some searching on 6-bolt and you'll find all the information that you need and more. You'll probably find that most people like the 6-bolt better then the 7-bolt, but like I already said just search on here and you will find answers to your questions. This one has definitly been

Just from school and some thought about the whole 7-bolt and 6-bolt cranks is about crankwalk. I did a measurement of torque on metal and the more stress on it tends to warp it. In this case, me and my friends believe that 6 bolts where just right for the flange. Yet add in another bolt, shorten the distance and you could have differant pull on the flange. There by when the clutch engauges the flywheel could be off balance my a thousandth and after every contact slowly hurt the thrust bearing in the middle. Just an idea me and a few college buddies had. But not proven. There are so many ideas that can't be proven but all have great thought and measurement taken to come to that asumption. But we run 6-bolts on here. There are very few with over 500 that have 700 bolts. I have had 2 friends do it. Thats it.
