So I bought this car with an eprom chip, I just now realized it has the stutter box option. However I do not believe it is hooked up. I searched on here and found people saying go to TMO.com site.... it is up but the navigation links take me no where. How do I setup the stutter box option on a 1g?

Well I know its from dsmchips.com and that it has the stutter box 5500rpm, I just dont know how to hook it up. The previous owner had given me the receipt for it after he put it in. I go to TMOs site and the links are not working

Why do you not think that it's hooked up? There's no real "hooking up" to do. If it has it, then you have to be stopped completely and just stomp the gas. Clutch in, clutch out, doesn't matter. You just have to be stopped. At least that's how it is on mine...

If Im not mistaken.....when the car is off but they key is turned over.....press the gas buttom down once, and it activates it...then turn the car on....and stomp the gas....it should stutter @ 5500 like you said

Ah okay well maybe I had confused myself when I saw topics on hooking up a clutch wire to make it work. Ill give it a try thanks guys.

im messing with my 2step also. hitting the pedal once does nothing, and every time afterwards it goes up 7,0,14. i wired in my clutch switch mod and its the same. i emailed jeff (dsmchips) about 2 minutes ago, so hopefully he can help us!

There is a clutch wire that needs to be hooked up for the stutter to work. It must have a diode in line of the clutch wire itself. I would contact Jeff at Keydriver and let him know you need the wire it shouldn't cost too much. He may even tell you what diode you need. The stutter is adjustable. With the key in the on position but the car not running you press the gas pedal. If it changes the factory boost gauge will move. Most are adjustable from 4500-5500-6500. Or at least mine is. Does it also have the no lift to shift option?

Each time the boost gauge moves up ie: 7,0,14 you have adjusted the stutter box rpm point. Most reset at 4500 after the battery cable is removed or power is disconnected to the ecu.

yes i have the ntls option. the wire was included and instructions on how to properly hook it up. the instructions say to cut the green/red wire, but my clutch wires were solid black and green/black. i cut into the green/black wire. was i wrong?

figured mine out. the diagram he sent compared to what my wire colors were, were different. after changing it, it worked fine. i emailed jeff about my lean issue and he suggested my fuel pressure wasnt rising 1:1. i checked my fuel pump by kinking the return line on my fpr. it shot straight to 80psi so i knew the internal check valve on my fuel pump was good (high pressure 255). i put in my stock ecu leaving in my 550s and base fuel pressure at 50psi and wideband was reading 10.5-11.5AFR, top of 3rd i was right at 12AFR. maybe the fuel injector compensation was set incorrectly? either way im sending it back to get it changed. i love the 2step! good luck with yours.
