So I am currently running the stock intake tube with a POS ebay BOV that does not rec. I was thinking of buying the greddy type S like most have, although I was just reading a thread about how a pain in the a$$ they are to get working properlly. Something about removing one of the springs when running stock boost or something like that, I don't want to deal with that. I am looking for something that comes ready to put the vlange in, bolt on the BOV, and recirculate it to the stock intake. Cant afford HKS haven't looked into APEXI but I hear 1g bov is the best for some reason I have no idea why. could someone explain this to me and give me some suggestions I would appriciate it.

Thanks

You definitely need one that recirculates, and if I were you I would just get a 1g BOV, they're very reliabe up to like 25-30 psi I believe, plus they're cheap and plentiful.

I guess I would be fine with a 1g one. I like the cheap idea :) but how do they mount up? do I need a flange pipe or anything? Also I don't have my stock dump tube anymore...just planning on buying some hose from auto parts store or something...fine?

Honestly, the only reason to get anything but a 1g BOV is if you are planning on running 25+psi consistently, you want a louder sound, or you just want to be able to say you have a $200 BOV vs. a $40 stocker.

I'd rather spend my money on other things, personally. I had an aftermarket and I went back to the 1g.

Ok question not answered: what do i need to install the 1G bov in my 2g? How does it sound compared to something like the greddy...like I said I can't afford a HKS right now or I would have already bought it, but I don't want problems either. Thanks for all the imput and fast replys!

I have a forge motorsports 1g BOV and it works like a charm. Comes with interchangalbe springs so you control how much psi you want to run with the right color spring. Mine has worked great and have no complaints and it blows off pretty much every time I let off the throttle.

I'd almost agree with you there man but without moding the 1g BOVs, the thing will start being pushed open at around 16-17psi.

I ended up doing the "DodgeMod" on my 1g BOV and that will allow it to handle up around 28-30psi. That worked for a while until I started destroying the inner diaphrams...

I then got the Synapse BOV as it doesn't have a diaphram to rupture... IMO, one of the best BOVs out there! -Noticed an immediate decrease in spool time & an increase in top end without doing anything else... My modded 1g BOV must have been leaking. Ah well, not a problem anymore. I'd highly recommend it... No BS with swapping out springs and/or making adjustments to it.
