how much boost on evo3??

What's up? I know this has been beaten to death but I'm gonna go ahead and ask it anyways. What's the max psi's I can safely boost on an Evo3 turbo? I have basically all supporting mods and bolt ons. I would like to know so I can have something to work with when I go get it dyno tuned. Here's a list of my mods:

Evo3 B16G turbo-ported 2g mani-Apex'i 3" turboback exhaust-HKS 264/272 cams-Buschur FMIC-Blitz bov-2g mas-Injen intake-550cc injectors-3" tubular 02 housing w/ external dump-8.5mm magnecore wires-Aeromotive FPR-Apex'i SAFC-VDO egt and boost gauge-Greddy turbo timer-datalogger-Stage3 dsmchips-voodoo mbc-walbro 255 fuel pump-AEM UEGO-
 
You are the only one who's going to be able to answer that question, judging by what YOUR logger tells you is going on.

Start at 14psi and work your way up, paying careful attention to AFR, knock, timing, and your wideband O2.
 
Even so, you can have ten people with the EXACT same modifications as you and still get ten different answers and ten different results as far as horsepower and timeslips.
 
It differs for every car,we could build 2 exact motors with all teh same parts, turbo management, etcc.. and we would both end up with very different maps for fuel and timing. The ony way to tell "what YOUR motor can take" is to strengthen up your top end with a good HG and some ARP head studs, get a few gallons of race gas and take it to the dyno. And as for recommending a "safe boost", if you can't spot when things are getting unsafe, you don't need to worry about how far you can push it just yet. You need to focus on getting and learning to use two very important things

2 important things

1.) logger - why? = so you can study the run, not sit there saying to yourself'... "i think i saw 11:1 at 4500RPM" you can say "look here, i'm rich at "x" RPM or i knocked here and need to pull timing ot add fuel.

2.)wideband - why? = That's the ONLY way you're going to know what your true AFR (air fule ratio) is. Using a narrow band to tune with is like hoping the chewing gum you stuck on the end of your d!ck is going to stop you from getting the fat girl pregnant that you're drunk and about to sleep with.

Take it to the dyno and stop when you hit 300hp. Whatever boost that was, leave it.
 
I have roughly the same mods and run 20 psi. But, like others have said, it differs from car to car.:talon:

Thanks, all I'm really looking for is what other people are making with roughly the same mods. I'm going to be tuning my car and just see what averages are. I am no way trying to just set my boost at what everyone else is doing.
 
Not only does it differ from car to car, but elevation makes a big big difference as well.

I personally have ran mine at 16psi, but I have it back down to 12psi right now because my car isn't up to par at the moment.
