everytime i turn on my headlights I blow the headlight fuse. I have the 8000k kit straight bolt on universal. is there something special i need to do to install it in a 2g Eclipse?

Either way it's popping the fuse.... See if you can find what the manuf. rating on amp draw for the HID kit . If the amp rating on the HID is over the fuse your trying to use , You may have to rewire with a fuse rated for the proper draw of the HID lights.
If it is under what the fuse is you are using then there is a problem with the wiring between the fuse and the HID Ballast or the Ballest itself. You could use a fluke meter or an amp clamp to measure actual amps going to the HID lights.

Well if it was a plug and play kit like I have it would not draw too much amp, It draws the most when they first try to ignite and heat up. If it is not a plug and play kit you need the wire kit for the battery supply which has its own fuse.

I just installed the SHARPHID 9006 kit last night in my 2G Spyder and it works mint.

No blowing fuses and took 5mins to install.

Might be a defet in the kit you bought.

i figured out my problem thanks to SHARPHID.com Now it runs just fine. just need to figure out a better mounting place on the driver side. :( I'm still using the OEM harness and the same kit.

the eclipse from the factory have a polarity issue. after i pull the pins out and swap them. it worked just fine.

You mean the wires were backwards correct? I think i remember this on my 2g also.

My friend is having this same exact problem. Can somebody please post a "mini write-up with PIX" on where these pins are located, which ones to switch and how to switch them, I'd really appreciate it.
