You'll need an EPROM ECU (you can find these from most '95's). Here's how to tell if it's an EPROM:
DSMLink - FAQ - EPROM

You'll need to send it away to get socketed if it isn't already. Then you order DSMlink and install the new EPROM into the socket. Socketing takes out the factory EPROM and puts in a socket so that you can install a new EPROM chip.

You'll also need to get a laptop. Most laptops will be good for tuning purposes, so you don't need to go out and buy a top-of-the-line one. If your laptop doesn't have a serial port, you'll need a Keyspan serial to USB adapter.

Poke around, all the features and requirements are there.

In short, all you really need is an EPROM (Some '95's) ECU. Looking at your profile, if all you have is an SSQV, then you are really nowhere close to needing the capabilities of DSMLink. Just look around this site and the 'Link site, that should answer most of your questions.

EDIT: Damn you snowboarder.

As kahl said, you won't need all of DSMlink's features now.

But I'm going to disagree and say that it'd be something to look into if you ever want to put down decent numbers. Yes, people can argue that cars have run 9's with an S-AFC. But DSMlink is a great product and has awesome customer support and forums. Also, it is a logger and tuner in one so it's the only thing you have to buy. You can also have inputs (i.e. wideband O2, MAP sensor, IAT sensor) and it'll log them as well. A logger is something everyone should have.

But just search the forums and read more about it and you'll find a host of answers. And if you can't find something, just send an e-mail to the people at ECM Tuning (they make DSMlink) and they'll be more than willing to answer your questions.
