sup guys, i joined this forum because there is sooo much holset turbo talk i wanted to get on the action.. guess im limited to just this forum so that kinda sucks but look forward to reading more about holset turbos and can add some info of my own from time to time. cheers

I remember back in the day when we all thought that a 2.0 would not even beable to spool a 50trim let alone a holset. They are awesome turbos for the price.

Yep. An hx35 is about the same flow as a 50 trim with nearly the same inducer diameter. And the turbine has similar diameters to a t3 stage 3 turbine. The compressor and turbine housings are deceivingly large.

The small Hx40s are similar to the gt3782. A compressor similar to the small gt40 compressor (gt3782) & a turbine similar in shape to the large gt40 84-trim turbine wheel.

I'm just wondering what the comparrison to a 20g would be with a hx 35. I have the supporting mods i'm just wondering how the cars would fare to each other in a spyder form

The hx35 is comparable to 50-trim with the t3 stage 3 tubine it commonly accompanies. Both the hx35 nd 50-trim flow a little more than a td06 20g. The hx35 in the .55 a/r bep turbine housing has vey similar spool to a 20g and a slightly faster spool than a 50-trim.

All hx40 turbines and h1e/wh1e turbine wheels are the same. Save for possibly the super40 built by holset. All hx35 and h1c/wh1c turbine wheels are the same. 6 blade, 7 blade, and 8 blade refers to compressor wheels. The hx40/wh1e/h1e and hx35/wh1c/h1c turbine wheels have 12 blades.
