Will removing the A/C improve power? Is this an easy process to do? How do I do it?

It wont improve that much power but it is less stress on your crank. It's about an hour job. You have to remove the compressor on the back of the block and remove the condenser that is located behind the radiator. Then remove all the lines.

Not more than 2 hp.
Take your car to a shop and get the ac uncharged.
You unbolt the whole system and remove it, just make sure to have a shop uncharge it instead of dumping it to the atmosphere since the ac is bad for the atmosphere.

It's not bad for the atmosphere if it's a 1993 or Newer. since OP has no car in his profile no way of telling what year it is.

134A was put into production 1993 and up. 134A does not contain Chlorine as did R-12. This is why anyone with money, can buy 134A, and you have to be EPA certified to purchase HCF freon types, R-12, R-22 and so forth.

Removing the A/C components will do nothing but clean up your engine bay, the only time the A/C is taking power away from your engine is when you have the A/C on and the compressor is engaged. When it's turned off it is just a pulley with almost no resistance. The weight savings by removing all components will be maybe 30 pounds. Not really worth it unless this is a racecar or you live up north and have no need for A/C.

Haha I think you can get about 7-15 bucks for any compressor core and oh a dollar or two for the condensor and lines LOL. And if your really greedy tear out the dash and get that evaporator core.:D

Minus the fact that it says in the first post that it's a 93 N/T...

I'd remove it just for the weight saving. I'm not sure how comparable the A/C system is between turbo and non-turbo, but the system from a 2g turbo weighs about 43 lbs.
