I need boost help?

I put FP 272/272 cams in my 2g. And a month later, my boost is fuing up, I start boosting at 3,500. It goes to 15psi, then at 5,700 it jumps to hi boost (22psi). WTF . I have blown 2 intake manifold gasket's.

I did that, it is leaking at the intake manifold gasket.

I'm looking to buy the 1g JMF intake manifold... I have the cyclone manifold now.

You may already have your own solution but The best way i found to replace the gasket or intake mani is to hook your motor to an engine houst. Then take off the rear mount and right side mount. Then trans mount. You will br able to lift the motor 4" or 5" enuff to take intake mani out. This is the easiest way i found to remove the mani and fastest.

Does it creep up to 22psi or does it jump? Have you checked to see if your wastegate is functioning properly? And how is your boost controller hooked up?

I have a new 38mm wastegate and it is okay and working. it holds 22psi at 5700. i have cyclone intake and it works properly. my boost controller is hooked up from the bov and wastegate.

have you tried running the boost controller from a pressure source from the turbo/J-pipe instead of the bov, the bov causes tons of problems.

I don't have a nipple on my turbo. It is a FP 20g with the tdo6 wheel. My boost controller has been hoked up the same way for a long time.

I don't either, I had to drill a hole in my piping and weld in a nipple from homeedepot on it, haven't had problems since, try it out if messing with your boost controller doesn't help.

Hook up the waste gate without the boost controller and see if it still does it. If it still does it, its one less thing to question.

I did the W/G and, at 3,500 I hit 12psi then at 5,700 it jumped to 26psi so I let off. Right now i'm taking off the cap to my W/G to look at the spring...

OK the spring is good and so is the seal, I also greased the valve. And it is still doing it.WTF
