What could this wire be?!

So i bought the car and it had a greddy blow off valve and aftermarket boost gauge... i no what line is for the vac but im not sure about the power. There are to wires, one is leading to the battery and one is leading to the fuse box. Anyone have an idea what these might be?

what fuse is it attached to in the fuse box? -or is it an unused slot?
How heavy gauge is the wire, what's the fuse rated at?

Well thats the thing, he has the wire going underneath the fuse box and im not sure how to pop off the top (havent really tried yet tho) But its a small wire, like 20 gauge im guessing.

Obvious answer is a power and ground for the bulb in gauge .

Well, whatever it is, it's likely to have the same 2 red/green wires feeding power/ground to it, if you can find the grommet that they cross into the firewall through you may be able to trace them from the other side to what they're supplying. If it's small gauge wire, I'm guessing the boost gauge unless there are more aftermarket electronics inside you didn't mention. I used the cigarette lighter wiring to supply my gauges, but you can use a relay in the fuse box too. I'm guessing the lighting relay is where you'll find the red wire attached.

Not meaning to be a smart ass . Usually on thread like this everyone guesses the difficult things first . But if they come from the gauge it has to be for the bulb . The gauge itself is mechanical , meaning it works on vacuum or non electrical .

Ah, so that's what all the wires in your engine bay were from. The previous owner didn't connect them in the cabin to power/ground sources. He ran them into the engine bay.
