Flywheel Application, please help!! Eclipse flywheel fit 1990 Tsi??

Hi, i just need a quick answer if this will fit or not.

I just ordered a Streetlite flywheel and act clutch kit.. 2500 w/6puck sprung.

Anyways, the distributor got the parts in, and wanted to double check to make sure everything is right, so he shoots me the part numbers, the clutch kit checks out, but when i punch in the part number on act's website it says ACT Flywheel StreetLite Mitsubishi Eclipse, and i was wondering if it will still fit my 1990 Talon Tsi Awd. When i punch in my car and search flywheels i get nothing.

The PN for the flywheel in question is 600155 and the website is ACT / Advanced Clutch Technology®

The distributor has the parts at the shop, and i really want to get this clutch shipped, so i need to figure out first if the flywheel will fit or not, and i couldnt think of anyone better to ask then you guys here!!

Just a FYI, i just told him what i wanted, and he ordered the parts, i didnt tell him to order that PN.

Yep it will fit but the only difference is if it is a 6 or 7 bolt motor and if its for front drive or awd.

so, i just get him to count the number of bolt holes in the flywheel to make sure theres 6 then im golden?

If your cars a 1990 like your profile says, and it still has the orginal motor in it then its a 6 bolt. 1990-1992 have 6 bolt motors, while 1993-1999 have 7 bolt motors.

Yes, my engine is 100% a 6 bolt, no doubt there (i felt for that oil pan dent by the crank pulley..) the 6bolts dent in, the 7 bolts out, and i for sure felt it go in..

Im having a bit of a problem.. ACT's website lists nothing for 1990 Talon TSI. However they do list for a 1990 Mitsu Eclipse GSX, which has the same engine code as my TSI according to their site (L4 2.0L T FI), and then there is a listing for a (L4 2.0L N FI) which im assuming is FWD turbo.

When i search listing for the 1990 gsx eclipse L4 2.0L T FI I get PN # 600150.

I CALLED act, and the fella on the phone told me PN #600155 is for 89-92 FWD turbo, NOT AWD, and that for my AWD talon i need 600150 (as which the website listed for the gsx).

So i figure, ok my distributor got the wrong part no biggie, but he says his catalogue lists the 600150 (which i was told is what i need) as the 89-92 FWD for the eclipse, and the 600155 is for the 89-92 AWD, which is basically the opposite of the the guy from ACT told me, and from the PN's that match up the the 1990 Eclipse GSX, however he would ship me whatever PN i wanted.

So now im confused, i really dont want to order the wrong part.

The 1990 Eclipse GSX with the motor (L4 2.0L T FI) would be the same as my 1990 Talon TSI.. Correct? (Their website lists the engine for the TSI the same as the GSX being 'L4 2.0L T FI')

i searched more websites that sell act and they had more detail posted about proper applications here is what i found.. (the sites also listed years/models and the 90-92 tsi talon was listed for the 600150 application.. along with the gsx etc..)

600150 is for AWD 6 BOLT

600155 is for FWD 6 BOLT.

So i was right, along with the guy from ACT who i talked to.. My distributor maybe just has an outdated catalouge or dosent want to admit he made a mistake, anyways hes sending me the correct part number no worrys anyways.

Whenever you get auto parts always assume they are giving you the wrong part and it never hurts to have the old part with you to match up.
