I bought my car with a HKS SSQV, venting to atmosphere. I got a Dejon intake without the recirc piping, and now when I open it up on the car, it sutters and turns off between shifts. I know it's due to the open venting, but I am wondering if anyone has ever hacked the Dejon intake to add a tube for recircuate? I have a couple of ideas on how to add to it, and a few friends who could do the work nicely, but if there is anyone with some better ideas I'm up for the help.

You said it was venting the whole time, but was it not stuttering before the Dejon intake?
I was just curious. I didn't realize there would be such a difference unless there was something else in effect.

Good luck on the fab job, though.

To clarify: when it doesn't turn off it stutters between shifts, and extreme situations (like running down the track) the car will turn off completely, only because i drop in to the next gear and pop the clutch does the car turn on again.
I'm really digging for ideas on how to fab the intake, one idea from many.

Now with one thing solved, the next question I have is; Should I keep the SSQV or go to something like a crushed 1st Gen BOV? I've done that on another GST before and it was really stable. Or will the re-circ solve the problem with the air, even with the SSQV?

Last summer (before i knew anything about my car) i bought an injen intake and made the mistake of not getting the one that let me recirculate my bov.

I was wondering if i should just get it welded like this

or if i should drill a hole in it and just stick the hose in it. The welder i took it too said since it was aluminum it could possibly do harm to the intake. So i was just wondering what the better option would be.
Thanks:dsm:
