When we started up our car after engine replacement it would not idle - after many frustrating hours trying to figure out why, and by eliminating all other possibilities we narrowed it down to the ISC confirmed by putting a known good one (borrowed off other car). So that leads to the question. I understand that these are really expensive. Has anyone every bought one off eBay? There are also some after market parts places selling them for less than dealer prices. Advise appreciated!

I replaced mine with one off of ebay and it worked for a while, then threw a code. My car still idles fine with no loping/fluctuating. I am getting the P0505 Idle Air Control Malfunction. If you have a 95-96, I believe I read somewhere that the drivers in the ECU can't control the ISC as it is supposed to do. I am going to try to find that link now. Here is the link - post #4 - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/267141-how-do-i-pass-nys-inspection.html
