Ok I was driving my eclipse not going fast or anything, about 30 mph. When all of the sudden there was a strange pop that I could feel in the car, like a horrible vibration. It felt like I ran over something and that it stayed under my car, or perhaps got lodged in a belt. Perhaps even a rim falling apart. So I pulled into a parking lot, and it almost sounded like a backfire every so often that would match my rpm. So I turned the car off... Then I turned it on again 5 minutes later and and it was a lot better but still there. I pushed the clutch all the way in and it went away. And it drove fine after that. I have fixed a few things this last couple months and my car seemed to be doing fine till this. No CEL's or anything. O and I was on the way to the smog test, I failed again... I noticed that I had white build up on only one of my spark plugs so I am wondering if a bad injector is to blame. I am planning on doing seafoam cleaning and see what happens. Any other ideas?

I was wondering about that as well... I did have my clutch done not too long ago. The thing is, I only had to press the clutch once, and it has not come back. I drove it about 15 miles since then and nothing. You know, the sound was almost like lifter tick on crack. It hit with the same timing, so I am inclined to think it has something to do with my last cylinder that had the white build up on the spark plug.
