cutting out while making a left or right turn

I've got a strange problem. Occasionally while driving, either making a left or or right hand turn (happens more on left turns), the car will cut in and out. All the electronics (CD player, SAFC, Satellite radio, etc) will just shut off, and then come back on. Sometimes the motor will actually die, and then come right back on. It happens either making the turn fast or slow. I'm at a complete loss as to what would cause this. Any ideas?

Check your alternator.

also check to make sure your battery cables are tight and where they connect to is tight too. also make sure you cables that go to your alternator are tight.

I agree with Marsh. This happened to me and it turned out that it was my negative battery cable. I'd start there.

hmmm... it does have some fancy gold terminal on the negative cable from when I bought it... and fancy usually means easily breakable!

Make sure the battery itself is securely tied down. Also make sure the positive post/terminal has some sort of protective covering, especially if you have a strut tower bar.

if you are making a turn and your positive terminal on your battery can touch the hood and arc. that will flash all your gauge lights. as if you turned the key of then back on quickly. it's bad for your ECU as well so if your battery is tipping and touching the hood fix it quick
