edmonton,
Well, where i live it gets reaaally cold like right now it gets up to almost -30 i believe overnight, but my car is inside an unheated single garage so it doesn't really do much in keeping in warm..

I was just wondering, as I've done it in the past 2-3 days or so -- would starting the car and letting it idle while the block heater is still plugged in damage the car in any way?

My question is.. Where'd you find a block heater, what type and how do you like it? I have similar problmes here ( it gets REALLY cold at night) and i've had to run high pulse widths during the first few coolant map bars of warm up to get the car to stay going when really cold.

the local stores only have "universal" units that go into your radiator hose and have a long dangling wire. I would like to find something a little cleaner looking. DO you have pics of what you're running?

i had one that plugs up into the back of your block!!!! and heats it up haha, i found out i had one when i jacked it up and went underneath it!
