question about flywheel

hey guys,i took my tranny off,for a new set of clutch and flywheel.I noticed couple things while i was taking off the flywheel.
first:
wen i was unscrewing flywheel bolts from the crank, i heard some strange noise from behind of the flywheel,it sounds like it touches something behind.I was thinking that it touching the metal plate,which goes between block and tranny,but i took the plate off, and it was the same noise.What could it be???
second:
when i turned the crank (it happened when i was unscrewing flywheel bolts) i heard some air leaking out of somewhere, couldnt point that out,but could it be from the rear main crank seal??? and my other thought was the headgasket,cause im leaking oil a lilbit,but im not sure. Is that normal??? or i need to fix that air leak? thanks a lot for any input

well man. i can't tell you what a sound would be unless you try'd to discribe it. like a crack,scrap,clanck,etc. I would think air coming out would be the gasket or air going out the exhaust from the flywheel routating. SO Take The Flywheel Off. you should be fine

the sound is like, when the metal touching each other.well i already took the flywheel off,### i need to change rear main crankshaft seal.The air is coming out from the engine,not exhaust,but i can't figure it out,which place exactly

Well, you can here air leaving the engine from a few places. in your case it could be the seal, headgasket, or intake manifold, exhaust manifold. your's is probably the first 2

but,how come i didnt heard all that, when i was doing boost leak test?? cant be seals or hg,btw,what seals youre talking about? the valve seals??

problems after problems,damn those dsms i find out that my tranny main bearing is on its way out,i mean there is the noise like tob makes,but i tried a lot of different tobs,like act,fidanza,cf.and finally ended up with oem tob,but still didnt solve my problem.so right now i think is the tranny main bearing.How much roughly wold cost,to replace the tranny main bearing??? i got my tranny out,so its good,that shop wont charge an extra $$ for taking the tranny out and putting it back.
