I am at a loss. No matter what kind of boost controller at ANY setting I try to run,my car will not hold steady boost at all. I hook up the MBC the way I am supposed to,off the J-pipe and the WGA. As soon as I hook up a MBC and try to get on it a little bit,the car flies to 25 PSI and I instantly hit fuel cut,Ill continue to hit fuel cut until I take the MBC off. Like I said Ive tried 3 or 4 different brand MBCs and tried them at all different settings and there is no middle ground on it,only 25+ PSI. I just have the lines looped right now so Im running off the wastegate to stay safe, I just want to know if anyone has ever had this happen before. The arm on my wastegate moves back and forth because I thought maybe my WG was stuck so I tried tugging on it and I had no problem moving it. Any help would be great, thanks.

Try setting the MBC to its absolute lowest setting (should be all the way screwed out). Depending on the spring constant of the spring you've got in the MBC, you should be able to adjust it relatively easy from the lowest setting.

Tried that,I even unscrewed one so far that I lost the screw on the testdrive and didnt realize it,still hti 25 PSI

Well, if it's fine without a boost controller, it's has to be in how you're hooking it up or adjusting it. Are you using it to block air to the WG actuator or using it to blead pressure from the line to the actuator?

I have one end hooked up to the J-pipe and the other end hooked up to the WGA,Ive always heard thats the right way. Unless theres some new breakthrough that Im unaware of. when I go home this weekend with the car Ill put a MBC on and take pics of the way its hooked up etc

An easy way to make a simple BC is to put a "T" connector into the line to teh WG actuator..then put a bleeder valve on the end of teh T that's left open to the air.. with it closed it would be running stock boost..slowly open it to bleed a small amount of pressure from the actuator. This type of controller leaves you with a constant (but small) vacum leak, but works in a pinch when you want a simple and cheap BC.

Different type of MBC's, ball and spring vs. bleeder, are hooked up and adjusted differently. Let's start with which type of MBC you have and how it's hooked up?

Hey Bruce, Its a ball and spring type hooked up to the WGA and the J-pipe.

Didnt you say that You blew the mbc apart on a test drive? Isn't there a "ball" inside there... Did you lose it? I think there is... And I think you may have..

Or you could just run a vacuum line from your j-pipe to you w/g.. That should be like 11psi.

I blew the adjuster screw out of one of the couple MBCs I tried, the MBC itself didnt actually come apart as in the ball and spring flying out. That was only one of the MBCs I used anyway,I tried about 3 different ones after that. I have the vac line from the J-pipe to the WG right now, thats how Im daily driving the car until I get this figured out

hooked up to the WGA and the J-pipe.
That only tells half of how it's hooked up, which fitting on the MBC is hooked to the J-pipe? Also, how sure are you that it's a ball and spring? All MBC's are suppose to go between wastegate and J-pipe, it's the fittings on the MBC that are suppose to be opposite between ball/spring and bleeder.

This is how a ball and spring MBC should be hooked up.
