I just noticed that my break light are not working properly. The high-bar (LED light in the 2ga talon spoiler) break light turns on as soon as I turn on my parking lights and then headlights. It does not turn off. It does, however, get a little brighter when I press the break pedal. Also, my break light on the passenger side lights up and the driver's side doesn't. I replaced that bulb on the driver's side and nothing has changed. I checked the fuse under the hood and I didn't think I saw one in the cabin but it was dark out. Any help or advice as to where to look for the problem??

Thank You -Jeremy

+1 on the short in the system. Try using a test light on the wires that should or should not be getting power and follow them through the car till the light lights up the way it is suppose to. You can then at least narrow down the short. (Yes, this will take a LOT of looking, searching, and wire probing.) Electrical shorts suck and I would just re-wire the whole thing off something that DOES work properly, (like the pass brake light)

I figured on a short, just not hoping on it. Sorry about the BREAK is BRAKE thing, now I know but I should have known before. Either way, I will start at the rear and work my way up.

Thanks for that, I am probably going to need some luck here. So many wires everywhere.

I was just thinking though. Since the high-bar light is always on, it leads me to believe that there might be a problem with the brake pedal switch and that it is constantly reading that the pedal is pressed? Possibility? I hope so, I will be ripping it apart Monday so if anyone has any more input for me, I would really appreciate it!!

Thank You -Jeremy

easy but ghetto fix. connect a wire from the power wire on the brake light that works to the power wire on the brake light that doesn't.

I got it back together. The ground wire on the connector came loose so, thankfully, I didn't have to go short hunting too far!! Thanks for the advice all.

Defiant - did I do something wrong or is the girl in the picture named alice?
