starting issues

Ok in order to start my car (90 n/t) you have to hold the gas pedel down and crank the engine for like 5 to 10 sec. It runs fine but when you shut it off and try startng it 30min to a hour later it won't start unless you spray brake cleaner in to the intake. then it starts and runs fine. Please help Its driving me nutts.

Sounds like you have a leak in your fuel system. Check around your injectors and at both ends of your fuel rail for leaks as well as the line near the fuel tank. The fuel system is supposed to stay pressurized when the car is off and it sounds like yours is letting the pressure out somewhere.

that happened to me in my 93 gs. i ended up putting a new fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, and it was the ecu so if you got any friends with a 90 try swapping the ecu. good luck.
