I've been in the mood to change the cat out of my car from a suggestion from a friend. But in doing research on it I've understood that it could stain my rear bumper? does anyone seem to have any concerns with their no cat exhaust stripping or staining their rear bumper?

get a carsound/magnaflow high flow that matches your exhaust system, the power difference between high flow and no cat is only about 4hp

I have a small stain that arcs about 2" high on my bumper. It's permanent and doesn't come off. Doesn't bother me at all..

I would be more worried about the cat staining the seats than the bumper.

Keep the car clean and the bumper wont stain. Dont run the car rich and the bumper wont stain. Dont drive the car with it burning excessive amounts of oil and the bumper wont stain. The catalytic converter has nothing to do with how much smoke comes from the exhaust.

I do have some oil burnage but it is because of the valve guides are a little worn. seeing as it's run that way a while now (7 years) then I shouldn't be to worried if I pull the cat off and run it the same?

The cat only removes the invisible emissions gasses from the exhaust, not the smoke that creates stains. Your rear bumper will never know the cat has been removed nor ever show signs of it.

If you have a visual inspections for emissions in your area you will instantly fail without a cat. But you can take the heat shield off your old cat and weld (or bolt) it around your test pipe and at a quick glance they wont notice. Not that Ive done this or anything ;)
