I just installed a TD04HE turbo from DSMparts.com. I have the Apexi Fuel controller, and running Stock Maf, Ecu. (do have the GM maf/maft) When i crank it the idle hovers at about 1000, but it seems like the stock ecu is trying to pull run. Constently raising, and lower the RPM. There is thin white smoke comming from exhaust, and Smells like unburnt fuel. I took it for a short drive, went partial throttle, and when vac hit 0.. it seemed like the car didnt want to move anymore. Was This fuel cut on stock injectors? and what can i do to fix this?

If there is unburnt fuel during idle, it likely isn't fuel cut. Check the connection for the MAF, it sounds as though you are not getting the correct reading.

Also check for boost leaks and make sure all your connections are good. Do a quick run-through on all your vac lines as well.

Do you have a wide band O2 or any loggers to verify readings?

I dont have a WB, but i do have the Narrow Band guage in , and it jumps from full lean to full rich, which causes the idle to jump around alot also. I have a plam log. that i will hook up tomorrow morning. My fuel trims should be around 100% right? If they rise above i need to pull fuel or do i have this backwards?

If they rise above 100, you need to ADD a few percent (keep in mind, if you're already negative, which you should be, adding a few percent does not make you more negative, it brings you closer to zero....)

Ex: lft = 60 afc-cor= -5 @ 1krpm = too rich bump the afc-cor for that rpm up to -7 or -8 and see where the lft goes after a couple minutes.

lft = 115 afc-cor = -32 @ 1krpm = too lean (by just a little) ADD a couple percent to your afc-cor and make it -30 and see how that adjusts your lft.

Of course, keep in mind that nb sensors are not accurate like wb are. Nb sensors only operate on a 1v up and down range, where as wideband have a 5v range making them much more "high resolution." You essentially need one to properly tune. You can get by with a janky street tune w/o one, but to get the most out of your car, you'll need a wb.

ok will give it a shot, i also dont remember if i changed the injectors to 550 or 650. but for the most part i think they are still stock.
