What sensor is this?

I just noticed this sensor's plug was missing the black wire. It looks like it got ripped out. What exactly is it. It is highlighted in the 2nd picture.

I believe that is your knock sensor. Can you follow the other end to the wire? It should go down to your block, under the intake manifold.

oh wtf. Is the black a ground or am I going to have to find another plug and cut the wires and solder them back.

This one is ripped out right at the plug. Could I still solder it?

I would just go to a junk yard and get another plug. I don't think you would do any good by just soldering the wire into the plug.
