2g n/t fit in a 2g turbo

Hey i just blew up my 95 tsi fwd tranny. i blew my diff right throw everything. what a mess. anyways i was looking at a 2g n/t transmission. i dont see much difference other then one bracket not hooking up. i know i probably would have to go with the n/t clutch and everything. why wont it work? both cars are dohc. i cant get a 2g turbo tranny where i am unless i pay almost 2 grand for and it would be cheaper to just go and put a down payment on a new car for that much. part my tsi out. so is there anyway a 2g n/t fit on a 2g turbo?
