My brother just got a Tial bov. After researching a lot, I found out that many people agree that Tial's chart is not accurate for DSM's. You should get a 7lb spring.

also i heard u can check the spring by seeing how much vac. u have on your boost gauge and thats what spring u need but i dont have an aftermarket boost gauge, but is this true also

yah im planing on it when i buy my boost controller but right now im working on freeing up the engine with basic mods.

Ok I am so sorry I am bring back this thread, but all the others make no sense to me.. Ok uh, I have a Tial BOV and I was wondering what spring I should get.. I am gonna be running 18 pounds on a 16g.. Some say i should go with the 9 and some say go with the 7 psi spring.? Please help me.. I also dont want it to surge too bad under low boost..

Most springs would only hold about double the rating for boost then it starts to leak. I had a 7psi spring and running 23psi but the springs could not hold my wastegate closed. So I had to use a small red and big blue believe its around 21psi.

This thread is about bov's, not wastegates.

Go with the 7 psi spring. My brother, snowborder714, has a Tial with the 7 psi spring and it's been working out great for him.

Ok thanks guys.. Um.. Where could I purchase one?. I mean I have checked on Ebay but I am not sure if they are reliable, and I checked at a shop in town (Colorado) and they told me 7lbs springs dont even exist and that I should go with the 9lbs.. Got any ideas?? Thanks

Sorry for reopening this thread, but the link to the tial chart doesnt work and doesnt excist on their webside anymore. Im looking at the tial qr, the one with recirculation, and i dont know wich spring to choose either. At extremepsi.com, they got many different Springs they measures from 2 - 10 psi. My car is stock besides my vta bov i need to replace. Any suggestions?
