Electrical Problem
Aight here it is....everytime i start my car i have to jump it and its only good for about 10 min then it slowly dies. All the dash lights start coming on, gauges stop working and it shuts off. It has a new battery, used alternator installed. I think it is still the alt or its a one of the many grounds. The car had set at the Mitsu dealership for about 6 months so they could have messed with something, I dont know. Any suggestions, and where are all the grounds...I heard there were six.

Get your hands on a cheap alternator tester and test that bad dog. It is the most likely cause of your problem.

Chances are that you have a bad alternator. When the dash lights start coming and the car dies that pretty much means the car was running on the battery and that the battery lost its power..

Sounds like the altanator. Start the car listen to the idle then turn on your headlights, if the motor dies down and starts losing rpms then turn the headlights off and if the motor revs back up to normal its the altanator.

He has access to a battery tester, which can be used as an alternator tester. No need to rely on shade-tree techniques when a diagnostic tool is available.
