Unknowing grinding/ rattling on driver's side, any ideas?

Ever since I first started driving the car when I accelerate a "pebbles in coffe can" sound comes from the drivers side.

It only makes the noise in second gear however, and I've had someone accelerate with the car in park to see if something was rattling but couldn't find anything.


Any ideas?

Could it be anything else? I sounds like its coming from the rear of my car more than the front most times.

exhaust pipings, hitting against the heat shield.

Any suggestions on an easy fix? Or if it even needs to be fixed?

Check your pulleys that they are secure. Remove accessory belts, PS, AC and see if it goes away.
