thinking about getting dsm link, but i have a twoquestions atm

1. if i buy the eprom only, where can i get the socket, so i can i my friend put it in for me.

2. The diagnostic ports are different in 1gs, i believe a 93 has a different one than a 91, but there is no option for year of car, so how does this work?

DSM Link provides a socket service if you send your EPROM ECU in to them.

Not sure about the other.

First you need to figure out if you have an eprom ECU. If not, you'll need to get one.

Are you referring to the OBD port? I was under the impression that all 1g's were OBDI and all 2g's were OBDII.

I have never heard about 1g's having a diff. port.
Just send it in, i know you want to save some dollars, but help the guys out, look what they have done for us.
