I currently have been having problems with the shift control solenoids. A tranny shop said that was my problem and when I read the codes myself, I got the same ones. I tested the ohms on the solenoids and they were both a little over 3 ohms. Not sure if that is right though. The voltage out on the TCU for the solenoids are around 5 to 6 volts. Is that right or should it be 12 volts?

And yet another update. I just drew up a schematic off the top of my head and wanted to see what you all think. As long as I go in the order of 1, 2, 3, 4, the transmission should shift through all gears with no problems. Do you think the schematic below would work? IMO, I think it will, but I would like some reassurance. Thanks!

oh yeah.... the letters NC in the relay mean Normally Closed.

Just realized the DPDT switch to turn the box on is show to be wired incorrectly. Apart from that, would everything else work?

Ok, I just put together my own home built manual shift box and it works great!!!! I love the way it shifts now! I would be willing to build more for anyone else if you need or want one.

Pics? I might be interested in an inexpensive manual shifter. If its hooked up, do you always have to use it or can you let it just shift normally too?

I do have it hooked up and I will post pics as soon as I can. I have it set up so that you can turn the box on or off depending on how you want to drive it. Since I was having shifting problems, I leave the box on all the time and just shift with it. I have found that if you start the car with the box on and want to stop using the box to shift, you have to turn off the car and turn it back on again. I think this is because the TCU reads that the solenoids have an open circuit and it goes into limp mode. I will look into other ways to improve the box eventually.

Sorry I took down my schematic. I would be willing to build a box for anyone who wants one and ship it to them at a very reasonable price.
