Hey ive got a pretty much stock 92talon tsi. The problem is that when i drive during ANY hot day..75+ it will flood. The temp guage never goes past half, and i can run the car forever when its 60's outside. For example, today while i was driving home from work, i got maybe 10 minutes in before it started throwing intermittent codes at me and bucking. And this gets worse the more i drive it in hot weather. The only thing that helps is pulling over letting the car rest for 10-15 minutes. But that only lasts maybe...2 minutes, and the problems start up again. Last week was in the high 80's and fuel was literally pouring out of my flex bend in the exhuast pipe after 10minutes of driving. My guess is maybe fuel pump? I really dont know, its stumped me for a year now. So ANY help is greatly appreciated. thank you.

The temp gauge "never going past half" doesn't mean much. You could still be running very hot (like 240ish) and the stock temp gauge will be straight up.

Anyway... What codes are you seeing? The heat can definitely make your car run like crap, (our 100* days are killing me right now)... but if you are throwing codes, you need to find out what they are and go from there.

That is a really strange problem.. If fuel is pouring out of your exhaust I would think that maybe you had a stuck injector that only malfunctions when ambient temperature reaches a certain point. I saw something similar to this with a car that had flood damage. I would like to see what codes you bring up also.

well i stopped by archer racing yesterday and talked to them about my prob and a few suggestions came up. Such as heatsoaked intercooler and fuel pump. Today after work I went to a car wash and soaked my sidemount with some high pressure water and i drove for a good for 40 minutes in 75+ heat, and not a single code or smell of fuel. I am gunna pull it tonight and do a nice cleaning and hope that was the prob.
