I have about 5 gallons of 101 octain of fuel. How much can i turn up the boost and still be safe on my 91 gsx pretty much all stock but free mods and k&N filter I wanna run the 101 to try and help clean up the fuel system!

Im getting a dattalogger hooked up in a couple day's

Turn up the boost? I think somebody doesn't just want to clean the fuel system...

(I would assume regular WOT feed from the fuel system would be more than enough to clean it up)

Clean up what?? He is wanting to make more power with the higher octane not clean the fuel system. Anyways I would not put the fuel in without a wbo2 but thats just me.

Once you get the logger you can hook it up and turn the boost up 2psi. Run a log and if you dont get knock just keep turning it up. If your not knocking you should be ok. But I still would not do it without being able to watch the a/f ratio.

Wait for the datalogger. When you have that you can just keep turning it up a bit until you get knock. When you start to see some, turn it down a couple psi.

On a side note: Higher octane fuel isn't going to help clean your fuel system.. 101 is just high octane fuel with probably no detergents in it. What you're thinking of is high octane (89 and 91) at a pump. Usually those "premium fuels" have added detergents; e.g. Chevron and Shell advertise detergents in their premium fuels. So clean it out with one of those and in the mean time enjoy the extra boost on those 5 gals.

K thanxs guy's for the help! Those are the type of answers im lookin for.

Sorry if I was wrong I was thinking the 101 octane would help clean out my injector's and help clean all the carbon of the top of the pistons and valve's!

Pretty much over all help the whole motor!!!

I am gonna go ahead and wait to run the fuel intell I get my data logger! It has 2 different logging programs on it, MMCd and palm'n'stein. Witch one is better??????
