I need some Head Help

i am replacing the heads in my 2g eclipse gst i found a set of heads off a 1g eclipse gst are the heads better in a 1g then in a 2g. also does a 1g eclipse non turbo us a 4g63 engine or do the have the 420A in them?

1g nt use the 4g63 engine. You can use a 1g head. You'll also need a 1g CAS.

so 2g heads i guess would last longer and 1g just have more power...um

No, the 2g head gives way for better air velocity, not better durability... Hahaha. If ported a 2g head is better when compared to a ported 1g with same size ports.

to put on 1g heads on to a 2g block what all is needed please list everything. also if is from a 1g non turbo what is needed.

your car has 2 heads? IF you use a 1g head use the 1g intake also. Much easier just to find a used 2g head. Whats wrong with yours?

idk it make weird noises. at first it was just a valve tap now it like knocks or something like that in the cylinder closest to the timing belt. i am going to buy a core pretty much and have a company do the work. and still have the stock head just to keep around and even rework. I am looking for an intake also but idk which is the best.

so far i have found cores from a 91 laser and a 93 gs

Sounds like a stuck lifter or bad rocker arm. Pull the valve cover and check before you try just swapping heads. If you use the 1g head you have to use the 1g intake because the runners are diff. sizes.
