4g64T help

Alright guys well I had the car running but now after I swapped in the turbo ecu the car will not start. I have a msd dis and the spark led is not lighting up when I try to turn the car over. Any ideas, I dont know where to start.

First I'd check to see if the box is even getting power. Any fuses blown? Did you ever have the engine running with this ignition box, or was it still on the factory n/t ignition? Did you wire in the ecu correctly? I'm pretty sure swapping to a turbo ecu from the n/t is not a plug and play ordeal. Start with the simpler stuff first.

I don't know a whole lot about the different aftermarket ignitions, the factory turbo setup is decent enough and I've never needed one yet. If that's the problem I doubt I'll be of too much help.

Questions:

Did you do the fuel pump rewire?
Is it cranking and just not turning over?

You followed chad's guide right?

The car was running with the msd in it. And unlike the 420a the 4g64 and 4g63 are very similar. The only thing I had to was wire the knock sensor

-the car is not getting spark. i thought the msd was seeing it. but it is for sure

yes i did the fuel pump rewire and i am getting plenty of fuel

Ok cool. I was more talking about getting rid of the stock 4g64 fuel pump relay system. You know about this guide right?

What msd are you installing? I was thinking about using the msd BTM (boost timing master) for timing control but then I decided to go with the turbo ecu swap which has basically dead on timing maps for the 4g64 setup.

4g64 turbo is fun, my 4g64t at 10 psi is so much faster than my budies fwd 1g 4g63t running 18 psi!

Nice thing is we don't have to worry about crankwalk
