boost question

i don't have the plug for the stock boost control solenoid to be hooked up to the intake tube becuz i updated to the 2g intake that don't come with one (bought it used). so i just plugged that line with a screw but left the other line going to the wastegate connected. would that be alright? how much boost will i be running? will it be going off the wastegate spring pressure? thanks

Just put a hose in to connect from the wategate to the turbo j pipe. That will have you running about 8-10 psi.

Should be all right. It would be the same as running the boost source directly to the wastegate, without a boost controller.

On the other hand, leaving the line open would allow the bcs to function but would act as a small boost leak, as you would be bleeding off "counted" air.
