BOV and Compressor Surge

I have a Greddy RS knock off (single vacuum line) and it was too stiff to open. I had to do the single spring mod. I'v adjusted it to the point where it just holds when the car is idling. My problem now is that under low RPM and low boost I'll still get some compressor surge. I can't loosen it anymore without having it open under normal vacuum. Should I just leave this whole adjustable scene behind and get a regular BOV like a 1G crushed? I'm looking to run under 25 psi, have a GM MAF and don't recirculate. I can't imagine any surge at any boost/rpm is normal or good for the turbo.

I had the same issue it did not cause me any trouble with the 14b but when I installed the 50 trim the knock off greddy blow off gave me surge from hell. I replaced the knock off with a REAL tial bov and never ran into any surge again.

Your confusing compressor surge and BOV flutter, totally different things...
