I just purchased a J-pipe (coming off the turbo) and accidentaly ordered a 2G instead of the 1G. I have a 93 Tsi AWD with a FMIC. My question is what is the difference between the 1G and the 2G? I called up SBR and he said that it should still bolt up to my 14b, but he didn't know if it would work with my "application". Does the 2G come out at a different angle or mount different, what's the deal?

2g j pipes usually exit to the passenger side while you need a 1g which exits to the driver side

Thats because that is not an option, go back to the pipes section and there will be a FMIC J-piope and SMIC j-pipe link. The SMIC is the option to go on the passenger side towards your stock SMIC, to be used with a SMIC. The other is one that swings towards the passenger for a FMIC, which is why it is called FMIC j-pipe.

Correct!! What I meant by "Your Application" is not the side in which it comes out, but the angle. That's why I told you, try it out, if it doesn't fit, we'll exchange it, no big deal! :D

AHH ha! There's the man himself. Yea I got it Friday and it didn't work so I'll be sending it back on Monday. Are you going to need any money for freight or anything? Sorry about my screw up, I'm just kind of depressed now, I was hoping to have my POS running this weekend, oh well, that's my luck.
