I am begging to wonder if my cold start problem is actually being caused by a bad coolent temp sensor. Because I have been reading up on it and have come to the conclusion that not only would you have problems with cold starts but have symtoms of a high idle? And I'm not completely sure but I think I read that it will throw a cel on 1st gens as well? (which I have.) But, not only does it not start right away, but when it does actually start, if I dont continue to give slight throttle it dies, and when I do give it slight throttle, it takes a second or two to acutally register before my rpms raise. But once the car is warm these symptoms simply slip away. One of my buddys with a 1st gen told me that it could be my fpr? Im not sure. Please help!
 
How would I go about doing this? I have an AFC I but Im not sure if I can richen the mixture from that. But Im going to be investing in an fpr anyway just because of my pump and I will have the money to do so. But if you can richen from the SAFC I point me in the direction of how to do so.
 
I dont know if this matters but my bov is vented. So I'm not sure if you can tune that out with SAFC or not.

You should change that so it will recirculate. That air is read by your MAS, so you ECU seeing more than what you really have. That means it is adding fuel to compensate for the air your ECU THINKS is being used.

Recirculated > vented :thumb:
 
I was just wondering if the SAFC can tune for venting a bov. Because I'm reading that if your car is not set up for venting it would bog out. But I dont bog. I was looking into a stock 1g bov either crushed or stock. But I'm getting paid today and should be able to order my fpr.
