walbro 255 question

As im sure all of you with the 255 know what im talking about when I say "the whine" but just a question. When I am at a stop light and have my turn signal on the whine sort of pulses with the turn signal. Is that supposed to happen or am i drawing too much power?

Agreed, you can do the battery re-wire for about $15 and it will eliminate or greatly reduce the wine from the fuel pump. There are kits on e-bay or you can build your own kit.

Ya Im with the others if you haven't rewired the pump already thats probably the issue. The fuel pump power supply from the factory is very lacking. Fuel pump flow is directly voltage related, so its always a good idea to rewire no matter what pump your running.

Yeah the pulsing of the Whining nose is do to voltage osilation (i cant spell) from the turn signal going on and off caused by how the factory wires are run. If you rewire the pump that should stop.

Here is a cheap ebay rewire kit. I have not used it, but would think it should be fine. If anyone has experienced this otherwise please correct me.

I really noticed the whine in my 2g but my 1g has the pump alot futher away and with a rewire it is hardly noticeable.

I have the ebay rewiring kit and it worked fine for a while. Now, I added a kill switch in the middle of the starter wire coming from the positive battery terminal. Now my pump oscillates again and I'm not sure why. I do have it on the same side of the split starter wire that is connected to the positive terminal. Would this possibly have to do with it starting to make more noise again (since it's not connected DIRECTLY to the positive terminal)?
