14B problem... (no pull under exceleration)

i just put a 14B on my 2G with a K&N filter and some free mods here and there. i had to put my old intercooler on because when i had my crash it totaled my newer sidemount, and my old one had made a connection with a curb when i hydroed and bent it soo its no longer square. another thing is when i get on it, i dont feel anything and on the stock boost gauge its not even maxing out, and im not feeling any pull from it, im thinking its just a HUGE leak from the intercooler.

Did you check if all your couplers are good? Are they all tight? I would check every coupler first. You dont want to buy something you dont need.

All the vacuum lines hooked up?


Does the car feel like it starts to get boost and then it just dies off?

Answer these and it will make it a bit easier to understand...

And you should really look into a aftermarket boost gauge by the way

yeah it feels like it starts to build but then just holds and dosnt move, and yeah im saving up for a AM boost gauge.

hmmm.. well my car did the same thing yours is doing and it turned out to be a nasty hole in my lower intercooler piping coupler that went to my old side mount.

well like i said. I had to switch to my old Side mount cause of the wreck so im thinking i have a decent size leak threw the IC. could u hear yours spool??? Because i can hear mine pretty well thats what sending me in the direction of Boost leak.

Boost leak TEST.

Seafoam and look for exahust leaks before the turbo.

Aftermarket boost guage for your turbo upgrade so you don't blow something up.
