As you can see there are two different main bearings. What ones go on the main caps and what ones go on the block? Or does it not matter?

Also, for no balance shafts; Would I have to turn this bearing so the hole doesn't line up to the block?

The grooved bearings go on the block. The smooth bearings go on the cap. The bearings for the balance shafts must be rotated if you're removing them to prevent a serious drop in oil pressure.

I just have to ask this question, he looks like he is running something similar to clevite and mine were all the same accept for the thrust bearing which is what it looks like he is showing, and if that is the case those bearing halves go in the middle. The ones w ith the edging should have no visible difference (Or atleast they did not with mine) and go on the main caps and block, the ones with no edging went on the rods. Those are what mine looked like, and if this is a different type of bearing I am very interested in what kind he is running.
