hey,
i just finished up a clutch install and my car now is basically missing 3rd & 4th gears! they were fine before the install and now it just feels completely smooth when i try to shift into those gears. any suggestions on what might have happened or how to fix? 1st, 2nd, & reverse are fine. the clutch is an ACT 2600.

The only thing it could be is the shifter cables, but if you have checked them and everything looks good there. Then it sounds like you have a slipped shifter fork inside the transmission, but i don't see how that could happen while changing the clutch

is the shifter fork different from the clutch fork?
if so, how easy is it to change the shifter fork?

Hey...

DID YOU DROP YOUR TRANNY ON THE GROUND PRETTY HARD? I just did a clutch job and took the whole tranny out and all.

When you get desperate enough, try this!
You can try undoing the cables at the tranny and Moving the gear shifter levers back and forth vigorously(could be stuck) if you inspect that while you have a buddy shift the gears around, you will see that there is one lever that barely moves(it may not be moving far enough)... and also, when you get the cables back on, make sure that the shifter cable support brace is BOLTED DOWN, I left mine undone and experienced similar symptoms.
