plans:
To get a 12.9 on my 14b with stock sidemount, stock injectors, and almost everything else stock.
I bought and assembled a Megasquirt standalone ecu to tune.

I just want to get this car to break into 12's then I am done with it.

In the winter I have so far

Gutted the front and rear, and stoneguarded everything, fixed floors.

Reassembled the front, but i am leaving the back open, just interior panels, no seats or carpet.
Rewired my pump.

What i still have to do:

Wire and tune with my standalone,
Get and install new exhaust manifold studs
Gut the MAF outta my hks intake make it hollowed.
Install new clutch

I will keep this updated and post pictures.

I have done most of my homework and think things will be fine but
Any directional advice or opinions would be great.

Thanks for space,
Mike

umm ya i drive far distances with it.
To school and back and work and back.
Talon i still drive daily in the summer, mostly to cruise in and go out at night with.

Another weekend I got to work on the car.
I just did quick paint of the rear interior pieces and put it back together.

looks a hell of a lot better then it did before

And the hump where the rear tire sits. There is a story on that:

Somewhere on here I found a person who posted that, he cut out the hump and leveled it out in his 1g days.

So me being dumb and not looking anywhere else, started cutting.
Good thing i went slow because I found the gas tank underneath.
No one would weld it for me because the gas tank was right below it.
So I used this sealant stuff. (looks like crap i know)

And one more, got a new, uncracked valve cover:

Next week I have a talon comming that is getting stripped at my place, so more parts for me :thumb: .
I will post anything new to come.

Post any comments!

Looks good, very nice time on the 14b with such little money spent. By the way where is your closest track sparta in St. Thomas?

For my mani studs, I want to get stainless steel ones. I havent looked into it too much but thats my plans.
A heatshield I also have in mind, I've been reading that the fans like to melt with out one.

Update. found some nice pipes and couplers.

Fitted my UIC pipe got someone to weld on my bovflange for me and you cant really see in the pic but there is a IAT sensor in the pipe aswell for my megasquirt.
Its blurry but looks soo nice in person.

I would have had the tranny in already but I got held back with the throw out bearing. I had to get an oem one, too many horror stories about the ones that come with the act kits!

Aswell, the wiring is completed for the megasquirt.
I havent tested anything out yet however. gotta get the battery back in.

Also I have found some ford probe gt rims that I wil be using. (7 inch width)
planning on powdercoating them, awsell as my valve cover within the next month.

Its sooo nice up in Canada I can't wait till I get my car out :D

I will update again when everythings back together and running.

Mike

dont let that valve cover gasket get media blasted unless you plan on removing the little baffle thing in the vc. just my .02, also awesome project, let us know what you run now.

Thanks guys!
I'll see if i can get a video in the next couple weeks with it running on megasquirt, maybe show the studder box feature. and finally a smooth idle!
:D
