i have a 90 talon 5spd. can i use a different year and trans ecu?or does it HAVE to be a 90?

you can do it but its a pain in the a$$ from what I understand. A 90 ecu can run a 91+ car with a switch of 2 wires but it doesnt work the other way around. You either need to find a 90 comp. or plan on some work. I will try to find a link for you.
