the antilag feature that if offers im assuming is nothing like the antilag that a autox or rallyx person would use? but exactly how does it work on the DSMlink, does it autodisable? or can it be left on? not sure what would happen with that though. Im looking for a way to lower the boost threshold.

this is going to be for a 1g AWD 5spd im picking up.
apologizes for the confusion.

but im looking for a way to reduce the boost threashold when working the pedal on a course. Ususally the car will be in either 1st or second, so the drop in boost between shifts isnt the problem. its the movement in the throttle.

You could use it in combination with no lift to shift, which just requires a couple wiring changes.

here is an excerpt from the dsmlink homepage

"Generically speaking, the term anti-lag refers to a technique commonly used by WRC style cars to quickly spool a turbo while the car is under hard deceleration in anticipation of the hard acceleration that's likely to follow. The technique involves retarding ignition timing so far as to cause the exhaust valve to open well into the power cycle, resulting in extremely hot and explosive gases rushing past the turbine, spinning the turbo up like crazy."

thats it in a nutshell, though I am not to sure about using antilag alot on the stock internals the temps are too high for the stock cast parts I believe andy could chime in better about this(was it 14 or 16 degrees advance minimum on stock parts???) then again if its only once in awhile It shouldn't be a problem

im curious if i can control the extent of the timing retard and fuel dump to not have as great of an anti-lag effect, but reduce heat at the same time.

i also plan on using cast manifolds still. found an aftermarket one that looks like a good piece.

hmm...seeing that the DSMlink is still the best choice all round. I might be able to figure a why to trick it by use of the clutch pedal switch but reverse the setup so that it reads the pedal down when it is really up. (or maybe down all the time)...

other wise im going to have to look into throttle position on decel and add timing and fuel there to acheive a similiar (but not as effective) antilag.

ill play with it when the time comes. i feel bad for the turbo that gets the experimental stage.

Yes you can control the timing retard as well as the enrichment. Like the above poster said you could read the manual page 22 for a more in depth detail on dsmlinks antilag system, but a simple question like that is easy to anwser for me cause I must have read that manual like a dozen times!!!
