Shifting troubles

Hey guys, quick question... My car is a 98 gst, and sometimes i have a very hard time shifting it into lower gears while at normal rpm's or even low... i have to push very hard, or sometimes i cant... but all the other gears work perfectly....anyone?

Are you talking mainly about just 1st. DSM's have trouble getting into first when rolling. My tranny im building is going to have double synchroed 1st and second gears to help with this problem, along with a spider diff.

yea, it just seems like first is doing that, ill be rolling at like 10-15mph, and it wont go in, so sometimes i stay in second, or just throw it into neutral...

yeah, it's a normal problem, one that i experience on my car as well.

Double-clutch your downshifts. Synchros be damned, there's only so much they can do.
